Flatwork

Photoshoots and sketchbook work for the Gray's School of Art degree show catalogue and the Fashion Show brochures.

My final collection at the Gray's School of Art has been inspired by Paris and the smaller, more obscure findings within the city rather than the obvious. I have also been looking at French Language and how its beauty is reflected through both when written and spoken. This spurred me on to think, would even rude offensive language sound just as lovely? I believe it does.

My love of bunnies has also managed to sneak into my collection through little sew on trinkets in the shapes of bunnies. I have also based my whole client and marketing around this rabbit theme as it really does put my own personal touch on the brand, and it is my brand so why not.

I have been using a lot of digital printing onto fabrics, and also a fair bit of beading. I really enjoy beading, I get a real satisfaction out of how each bead makes your design grow more.

Five weeks left at the end of this week until hand in, which is really terrifying!

I best head now and get a decent sleep for my 7am start tomorrow morning again!

The beginning

So I have started this blog to keep a record of the work I have been working on, be that fashion or art based. The idea of having a blog never really appealed to me as I would be useless at keeping it up to date. However now I feel is the time to start since I am about to finish art school in five weeks and be flung at the big bad world on my own two weary legs.
